Is your little one interested in theater? This is the perfect camp to place them in! They will learn stage directions, play fun drama games, sing, and put on a small performance for family and friends on the final day of camp! Ages 6-10.
Looking for a camp that will help you beef up your vocals for show choir? Are you dancer with no private vocal experience? This is the camp for you! Learn the basics of harmony, vocal techniques, and microphone techniques. Ages 13-18.
For ages 11-13. Learn MT vocal techniques, how to audition, appropriate repertoire for your voice, solo coaching, theatrical movement, acting and staging excerpts from plays. If you currently have solo musical theater pieces you've been working on, please bring them in a three ring binder. Camp will conclude with a performance for friends and family.
For ages 14-18. Learn MT vocal techniques, how to audition, how to create an audition book, write an MT resume, receive a solo coaching, theatrical movement, acting and staging excerpts from plays. For ages 13-18. Explore pop vocal technique, intro to songwriting, and recording studio equipment. Camp will end in a performance for friends and family.
Taking AP or IB Music Theory next school year? Want a vigorous music theory course? Take this class to prepare! We will use Open Source Music Theory as our guide, work in the piano lab, and dabble with some aural skills as well.
For ages 12-15. This course is designed for students who have a very basic understanding of music literacy (i.e. students are familiar with treble and bass clef as well as up to 4 key signatures). In this class, we will cover the circle of 5ths, solfeggio, ear training, and basic chorale writing. It is intended to prepare students to take a College Prep-level Music Theory Class or higher.
Perform in Shakespeare’s funniest farce about the craziest family reunion ever! The Comedy of Errors is filled with mayhem, madness, and mistaken identity. Never done Shakespeare before? No problem! This camp is a fun, collaborative and encouraging environment for all experience levels. A final performance (45-60 minutes) will conclude the camp. Ages 11 - 18.
This class is for high school students who are interested in improving their grasp on foreign languages in classical music BUT it is also for singers/actors interested in learning Brooklyn, various Southern, Boston, various English, Swedish, German, Russian, French, and Italian accents for theater. Taught by Kaara McHugh and Carolyn Silverberg. Ages 14-18.
